Paternosters and Rosaries

My rosary and paternoster making journey started when my mom lost her favorite rosary. I wanted to make her a special rosary, especially now she is starting her journey down the road of dementia. She says her rosary two times a day.  Being raised Catholic in my youth, I understood her strong faith and the importance of the rosary in her life.

Little did I realize making this gift would give me  a new path of creativity and historical research. Joined with my passion for Renaissance Fairs, I started making  unique and original paternosters in addition to rosaries.  I finally found a historical hobby that captivates me.  I'm just starting this journey and will share the links to resources I discover.  

 I strive to find unique materials such as wood, bone, brass, and unique beads. I am also an avid recycler and repurpose old jewelry from garage sales, vintage stores, and antique shops. All my supplies are sourced local and also online.
